Enchantress beauty, whether natural or man-made, comes in all forms and sizes. Though man has advanced a lot, still there are many mysteries of the world still waiting to be raveled.

To acquaint you with some extraordinary wonders this planet holds, below I have given a list of places whose existence will make you question. Some are remains of old civilization, a mark of legendary beings that earlier existed. While the others are carvings of Mother Nature that are jaw dropping.

While for some of you it would a handful information, and for the others a wake-up call to visit these place while there is still time.
So let’s get started with our world tour:

Vinales Valley, Cuba

This mesmerizing valley is a karstic depression in Cuba. Located in the Sierra de los Organos Mountains which falls in the north of Penal del Rio province. This beautiful valley looks like a painted picture. The illusionistic combination of water, rocks, cloud, greenery, and merging of colors cannot be praised enough. As a picture it is soothing enough to the eyes, what it would be in reality you can imagine yourself. Surely, nature has no boundaries.

Ruins of Leptis magna, Libya

Among the places in Libya, you might have missed out to visit. This delicately made sprawling ruins, with their colonnades, triumphal arches, and amphitheater, display some of the most wonderful carved motifs by Romans that are left for us. This place was greatly expanded by the emperor Septimius Severus was a native of this city.

This place is located in Khoms, Libya. On the coast where the Wadi Lebda meets the sea.

Maelifell, Iceland

A stunning conical volcano covered with the bed of green moss, standing alone in the black sand dessert is a perfect personification of beauty that will leave you speechless. And the patches of snow attends as the backdrop of this scenery. Seems out of this world? But it exists here on Earth called Maelifellsandur and the cherry on top is Maelifell in Iceland. Not only this mountain but the inland valleys and landscape are full of splendor and mystery.

Schwerin palace, Germany

Located in Schwerin Germany, this place is reminiscent of French chateaux. For centuries it has been a royal home the dukes’ grand dukes, Mecklenburg. It is located on the island of city’s main lake that adds bloom to its beauty. Today, it serves as the residence of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state parliament. It is designated to become a World Heritage Site. This marvelous palace with the complimentary beauty of the lake is worth a visit.

Gorges de l’Ardèche, France

The only famous thing about franc that you might know is The Eiffel tower. Surprisingly, Gorges de l’Ardèche is nature’s top most wonder. It is locally known as “European Grand Canyon”

This is a 30 kilometer running canyon that stretches from Vallon-Pont-d’Arc to Saint-Martin-d’Ardèche. The beautiful bed of turquoise colored water hidden among these ranges is a rich historical and archeological site. It attracts millions of visitors per year. If you are going to France merely for Eiffel tower, don’t forget to pay a visit to this mesmerizing place.

Dobsina ice cave, Slovakia

A truly stunning ice cave that you might have never seen before. This cave is located in Slovakia, near the mining town of Dobsina in Slovak paradise. This cave is also an important part if history as the Prince of Prussia Friedrich Karl and his wife Princess Maria Anna of Anhalt-Dessau took refuge in the cave in June 1870 when they got separated from their party during a storm. This cave seems a bit scary but it’s even more beautiful to be given a visit.

Pamukkale, Turkey

Pamukkale meaning “cotton castle” in Turkish is a perfect depiction of its marvelousness. It is located in Denizli in southwestern Turkey. Its name refers to the surface of the shimmering, snow-white limestone, shaped over millennia by calcium-rich springs. Dripping slowly down the vast mountainside, mineral-rich waters foam and collect in terraces, spilling over cascades of stalactites into milky pools below. Other than its benefits, its beauty is extraordinarily splendid. Due to the attraction of the thermal pools tourism has been its major attraction for thousands of years.

Palau Archipelago, Micronesia

Seems like an artist’s showpiece? But actually, its Nature’s masterpiece which speaks of deluxe its-self. This fine place is a cluster of over 500 islands. Blanked with emerald forest and surrounded by turquoise water, its exquisiteness has no match. The most practiced activity here is diving. Other than that, kayaking, off-road driving, camping and scenic flights also come within the pipeline. Palau’s rock islands are hard to beat. Some of the islands are also facilitated with toilets and shelters, making your stay even more comfortable and memorable. This place has huge importance culturally and historically.

Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, Icefall

Iceland is surely full of unbelievable surprises. What can you say about its beauty when it leaves you speechless? This place is awe-inspiring when the northern lights caress the sky, suddenly you won’t believe that it’s real. Not just one, there are many waterfalls that you will come across in Iceland. The Icelandic term for the waterfall is “Foss”

It is located in the south region of Iceland. Not much further, it is surrounded by many other waterfalls, small, hidden, vigorous. It varies as you drive through in this area.

Forest of knives, Madagascar

The home of thousands of animal species, Madagascar is full of Nature’s unique marvel as well. Islands, beaches, and thick forests are commonly seen here.

Here we have a dissimilar yet exciting forest, the “forest of knives” With its jagged rock formations dating to the Jurassic Period, this area of Madagascar has created the perfect barrier between humans and the plants and animals that call this space home. The superposition of vertical and horizontal erosion patterns has created dramatic “forests” of limestone needles. If your holiday destination is Madagascar, then this place is worth a tour to discover nature’s species.
