Dreaming is another form of consciousness and it is defined as, “A hallucinatory experience during sleep consisting of visual images related in a story-like structure, which are accepted as reality at the time.”

The average person spends about 6 years of their life dreaming. Most dreams serve as a review of the day and are related to the day’s activities. Interestingly, our brains register more stimuli during the day than we realize and our brains will then take this unnoticed information and incorporate it into our dreams.

While there is no scientific evidence for dreams having any symbolic meaning there are many theories about dreams and their purposes.

Explication of dream:

How is it that Eddie went to bed that night and was awakened eight hours later by killing a monster in a dream?

The meaning of the dream is as follows: The anxiety that generated the dream derived from the argument with the professor. The way a dream operates is that the surface conflict is like the crust of a piece of pie. The deeper meaning of the dream cuts all the way to the center of the pie, to his core. Eddie re-enacts a form of the already established internal play to digest the surface conflict. The feeling relatedness in Eddie’s dream is one of sadomasochism. The ogre, a monomaniacal bully, hates Eddie. He is stalking Eddie in order to kill him. Eddie is in the masochistic position of this relationship. He was forced to submit to unresponsive disapproval from male authority.

More profoundly, the inner story of Eddie and his father telescoped to the more disturbing relationship with his mother. Hers was a secret world of physical and emotional sadism and violence. In fact, his father’s humiliations were an extension of the core violations by his mother. Eddie’s experience of his father was already filtered by what had come before. The relationship between Eddie and his mother was one of unadulterated sadomasochism. Mother related to Eddie by her sadistic and violent rage. As the masochistic object of this rage, Eddie was on the receiving end of unrelenting physical and emotional abuse, cruelty, humiliation, and threat. He was helpless, impotent, and intimidated.


This dream is a model as to how dreams operate. For the most part we have to digest emotional conflicts which happen on a daily basis. A way to development with joint venture (Changan, China and Master Motors, Pakistan)

A ceremony took place at a local hotel of Karachi for joint venture between Changan and Master Motors. Vice president of Changan, Mr. Wang Huanran and Chairman of Master Motors, Mr. Nadeem Malik signed a resource pool agreement with an aim to grow the business faster and increase productivity. They look forward to generate huge profits from not only Pakistan but from other countries too.

Changan is a Chinese company whereas Master Motors is a Pakistani company which is combining their resources. Generally, entering foreign market with joint venture helps both the parties involved in it. Some benefits are that they get access to new market, risk is shared between the partners and there is access to greater resources etc.

Mr. Wang Huanran told in the event that Pakistan’s auto policy is vibrant to attract foreign investments and so they are willing to install manufacturing plant in Karachi, Pakistan. They want to manufacture RHD (Right Hand Drive) vehicles in Pakistan for local and export market. For this purpose they are planning to relocate their entire Changan RHD vehicle industry in Pakistan, within one year.

China’s Belt and Road Initiative is already under-construction from 2013 in Asia. China is investing billions of dollars on this project as this will link old Silk Road with Europe. This will encourage foreign- exchange reserves and China can create new markets for their excess capacity in steel, cement and other metals.  According to one of Changan’s officials, they will take advantage of that BRI (China’s Belt and Road Initiative) and implement their strategies.

“This joint venture will create almost 10,000 direct and indirect jobs in the country”, Daniel told. According to Trading Economics, Pakistan’s unemployment rate remained unchanged at 5.90 in 2016, so it would be a great opportunity for the job seekers.

Both the companies have aim to make Pakistan a leading automobile company by the end of 2025. For this purpose, Nadeem Malik told that both the companies have planned to jointly invest $100 million in Pakistan with 70% share of Master Motors of Pakistan and 30% share of Changan of China. Changan is given right of refusal if Master Motors wishes to sell its shares in future. Moreover, this joint venture has an objective to get listed on stock market within 3 years.

There is the monopoly of three Japanese manufacturing companies in auto sector in Pakistan. With this project, this monopoly is expected to break with Changan’s production of 30,000 units. They have planned to produce these units in double shift and to reach to maximum production within three years. This joint venture has started to select dealers to be part of their team. The team will help them to provide services to their customers and make effective distribution system of spare parts in all major cities of Pakistan.

Currently, Changan is the largest selling brand of China from 10 years in a row and has annual volume of 2,870,000 units. They deal in Light commercial, Multipurpose, Special Utility and Passenger cars. They have launched all products after market research and with safety factor installed in it. Due to this, Changan is ranked no. 1 for continuously 10 years in China, USA, Italy, UK and Japan. Previously they have joint ventures with Suzuki, PSA, Nissan, Ford, Mazda, Scheffler and Bosch. Apart from this, Changan has partnership with Tencent (Internet Service Company) too.

Master Motors has been working from last two decades in automobile industry. Their product line exists of buses and trucks and till now they have successfully sold 17,000 units in Pakistan.

Are We Really Becomming Too Much Dependent On Computers???

So here’s a point to ponder, can you imagine to spend one day of your life without a computer?
Well, the answer would definitely be No! We have become so much handicapped of technology and computer that we can’t imagine doing any simple task without it. Yes, you will surely want to argue by talking about its benefits and the way it has eased our life. But far more than that, many medical illnesses have taken birth from it.

You analyze that by observing the behavior of people around you the moment net goes off. Everybody freaks out like it’s the end of the world!

Dr. Peter Whybrow, director of neuroscience at UCLA, calls screens “electronic cocaine” and in China researchers tag them “digital heroin.”

You would be wondering how addiction?

Dopamine, a neurochemical is produced when we see something fascinating or new. But that’s not it, it has the second function as well; it is the chemical involved in most addictions a well- it is the reward chemical.

“Neuroscientists are concerned that dopamine is produced more than needed every single day, such as when kids are playing games. That may change the “reward circuitry” and make kids more dependent to screen.

Sigman says “Games in a virtual world lead to a false competence. Whereas children need to base their life on reality and not the fake virtual world”

To have a better look at the other issues, below I have mentioned few points that will change your perspective, or at least add knowledge to it.

The main cause of obesity in children as well as adults:

As you already know, obesity is the root cause of many deadly illnesses. And the cause of obesity is spending long hours on the computer, sitting and playing video games or using other social media apps. Alost 15 years from now, 90% kids used to play outside and get oxygen; that used to create healthy interaction with fellow beings, kept them healthy, obesity was not that common because physical activities used to burn the extra fat in the body. But now? 75% of our kids are staying indoors and playing video games. And that is why obesity is the growing concern of our nation.

Lack of social interaction:

“Social life” has been replaced by “social apps”. Rather than talking to our family and spending time with them, we are busy being connected with friends and strangers on social apps. Facebook, snapchat, twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp… name it and you have it on either computer, tablet, laptop or smart phone. We don’t care if our family needs some warm time together, we just care who liked or commented on our photo. We are surely disconnected with your family, but connected to those who probably won’t show when we need them the most.

This not only hinders our present life but also causes problematic issues when the time comes to be in a proper “relationship”. That can be parenthood or marriage. And why do those problems occur? Because we don’t know how to connect in real life.

Intellectual level decreases, technology level increases:

Technology and the use of computer and similar gadgets have surely changed our life style in a positive manner, and help solve problems which took long enough back in time. But do you keep an eye on how your kids take disadvantage of it? Home assignments are no more self-prepared by using own intellectual and reasoning abilities. It is copy pasted from the internet and submitted. And that makes a human being who is capable of doing wonders, a technology fueled robot. Our children are a product of technology.

Isn’t it? Roughly 25% out 100 use their own reasoning to solve logical issues.

Too much screen time results in numerous normal life disturbances:

The reason behind people being overly dependent on computer for the sake of learning is (a) 35% of parents said to keep children occupied and busy while parents work, and (b) 23% parents said to make their kids “tech-savvy” but instead it has caused many problems like poor sleep that results in lethargy and bad immune system, aggression and other behavioral issues, low frustration tolerance, learning difficulties, poor short term memory, depressed, excessive tantrums and mood swings. There are major problems in school and peer group. According to AAP the children who spent more than 2 hours per day on screen had the above issues.

Study in adults:

A research was done by BMC psychiatry to see the effects of long term usage and dependency on phones, the study concluded that “Time spent on general computer use was prospectively associated with sleep disturbances and reduced performance for the men. For the women, using the computer without breaks was a risk factor for several mental health outcomes. Some associations were enhanced in interaction with mobile phone use. Using the computer at night and consequently losing sleep was associated with most mental health outcomes for both men and women”

We are storing instead of learning:

Due to this computer world, we people just a single step away from the information we need. If you want to know the meaning of any particular word you googled it. If you want to delete a blank page of word sheet you watch YouTube video for it. If you’re looking for motivation you watch success story of someone with just 3 minutes of video. Doing this on regular basis will only add up the information you are looking for into your knowledge base and this process is so called “storing and not learning”

Too much reliance on the computer has hindered our life in some manners that require being taken serious measures over, if not, in the near future you will not be interacting a human being. But instead with a technology fueled robot in the shape of a human.

Robots inside Your Body


According to the latest news, robots have been in the making to serve science and medicine. Professor David Zarrouk, with his team of mechanical engineering from Ben-Gurion University in Beer-Sheva, Israel, are building a robot that crawls down your body.

This robot will have a motor to power its worm like wiggling. The data is collected on the robot’s precise position in the body through small electronic sensors. This robot can crawl through the stomach and intestines without harming them because it has been also provided with a smooth artificial skin like texture for this purpose.

This robot is named SAW, it is also known as Warm-bot. SAW, is an abbreviation for single-actuator wave robot. Professor Zarrouk had been working on this innovation since the year 2015 and he finally got it done. He has always been interested in making small unusual robotics. He also mentioned in his introduction about the robot that even if SAW breaks down in your body the digestive system will excrete it out without any damage done.

Currently, SAW is being tested in the intestines of pigs by Zarrouk. A local cooperative farm donated the intestines. The engineers are now working to manipulate the size of the robot, the smaller the better, they believe. But strong enough to do it’s job. Zarrouk hopes to get the device ready this year to be tried on humans.

Previously we had cameras only, which would go down in our body and get pictures for the doctors but that wasn’t enough. Now the doctors and mechanical researchers are gathering up to produce such robots which will deliver medicines in our body on their command or even take a piece of our tissue for Biopsy. Such electronic devices will make medical procedures safer and efficient. They will also render new ideas and enhance the medical field overall.


Researchers from Boston, Mass has presented us with another interesting innovation, a robot that will unfold on the site, like an umbrella. Their intention was to create a mini device that would slide down the gut with least resistance.

Daniela Rus, an electrical engineering and computer science professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, speaks that it is an Origami-style robot. Moreover, she said that this robot can be manipulated into the size of a tablet.

The robot is ingested in a cold, ice-like state, and once it is down your gut it starts to melt. After melting it is activated and unfolded. Then it initiates it’s movement. The engineers in Rus’s lab, tried moving this robot with a magnetic force outside the body. They are currently working on it. The robot moves wherever the doctor instructs it to. For now it is just a prototype, but they have their hopes high for it. According to Rus, this robot can help us to take Biopsy and also to remove sores, called ulcers from bleeding. It will also of course deliver medicine to any part of the body easily. This robot will also be beneficial for kids and toddlers to remove small pins or objects that our kids often swallow while playing. Rus further says that she’s excited to use these mini-surgeons.
